Am seeking any information on the Darrow family that lived in Kentucky in
the early 1800's and appeared on the 1810 state census for Nicholas
County as James Darrow. Am trying to see if there is a link between my
Derrough (et al spellings) roots and this family. Any information would
be appreciated. Thank you.

Re: EATON
Jacob EATON, sp. Nancy FOWLER appeared on the Nicholas Co. KY
tax list in the 1790's and later in Mason Co.
Their children were Elizabeth, Mary, Rachel, John, Elijah,
George and Elisha.
Many of the family members went on to Sullivan Co. Missouri but
I don't have any info on the ones who stayed in KY or moved
elsewhere. Also, do not know Jacob's origin.

I have very little history beyond my grandparents,
no one in the family kept records. My maternal grandparents
were the Mitcheltree's (Ireland) Mt. Carmel/Carlisle, the Medley's
around Carlisle. My paternal grandparents were the Sadler's/Missouri
to Cynthiana, and the Minton's/Virginia/Kentucky. Although this is
confusing since parts of Virginia became Kentucky. Any help will be
appreciated.
Thanks for your help.
Best wishes

I am looking for information concerning my great great great grandfather,

out who his mother and father were. I have a hunch that he was the son of
Issac Newton Conyers of Bath Co. Kentucky, but as of yet I have not been
able to put them together. Any information that anyone can provide would

TATE 1794: Reseaching William TATE, b. August 14, 1794 in Nicholas
Co., KY. His father (per census records)was born in IRELAND. I
realize that this county was not yet formed in 1794, but that's
the place and date that William claimed. By 1844 he was in Rush
Co., IN, where his son Newberry Wheeldon Tate was born and he
was probably there long before that. By 1865 he was in Jasper
Co., IL. His wife's name was Rhoda T. ?, b. in IN abt 1798.
Was there an early IRISH community in this county? I can't seem
to figure out if any of the TATE's in the 1790 "Census" for KY
are in the right locale. (geography has never been my long suit)
I am obviously trying to establish who his parents were, but
would also love to communicate with 'cousins'.
Will happily share. Thanks Nancy

I am trying to find the origins of Robert Bell and his wife Jane.
Robert Bell died in 1803 in Nicholas co KY. I believe that he
originally purchased his land in early Fayette co around 1785, and
therefore lived in Bourbon co as well as the county lines changed.
He had a brother Samuel living in Bourbon co in 1803. The children
of Robert and Jane Bell were Robert M Bell, Jane Bell, Sarah Bell
(married
Parker Brown) and Mary Bell. Could this Robert and Jane be the Robert
Bell who married Jane Miller in Rowan co NC in 1782. Their son
was Robert Miller Bell and Sarah Bell and Parker Brown named a
son John Miller Brown.

c 1784 ?where?). In 1805 in Nicholas co KY, he married Sarah Bell
daughter of Robert and Jane Bell. In 1819 Parker and Sarah left Kentucky

Brushyfork area of the county 1800-1810. Parker was also related to
Joshua Brown and Zachary Brown who also left Nicholas co KY for
Ripley co-Zachary was an executor of Parker's will.

Interested in two men named Richard King--possibly cousins. The first

Signed his name Rich'd. Note sure of relationship of Ricahrd and

Ebenezer Fields married Sarah Burden in 1798 in Bourbon Co., KY.
Ebenezer was on the 1796 tax list along with other FIELDS men (John,

Were they related to Ebenezer? How? Thomas Fields was on the 1800 tax

Where did these men come from prior to 1796? Ebenezer Fields moved his
