Searching for information on DOTSON family of Robertson Cty.
JAMES WYATT DOTSON married MELVINA COOPER and raised family in
Bracken, Robertson & Nickolas Counties. Any info or family bible
information would be appreciated. Their children were Joseph Louis,
Greenberry W., Francis M., Alice F., Flora E., Riley, Elias, James
Leander, Malinda, Leona, and Martha. Would like to know where
Bald Hill is located and where James Wyatt was buried. James Wyatt
died sometime after 1878 and before the 1880 census. James Wyatt
was veteran of Mexican-American War in 1847. Married Melvina in 1850
in Bracken County by SV LEE.
James Wyatt's brothers were William D. Dotson who married ELIZA James.
and SAMUEL M. DOTSON who married RUTH ? and sisters RUTH E. who
married JAMES HENDERSON; CAROLINE A R., who married BENJAMIN LEWIS,
NANCY A T., who married DAVID BRIERLY, and ELLEN. If any descendants
of these families know of the background and where the family came
from and where buried, would appreciate communicating with you.
James Wyatt was the son of JOHN W. DOTSON and HANNAH HUGHES. JOHN and
brother WILLIAM A. DOTSON were the sons of ISAAC DOTSON. All three
are said to have been born in MARYLAND. Any info on this gladly accepted.
Also where John, William A., and Isaac buried. Will share wealth of
info secured over the years.

Looking for descendants of George GALBRAITH (sometimes spelled
GALBREATH), who moved to Mason County from Virginia in the late
1700's. He and his wife, Mary, had eleven children, so if you
have a GALBRAITH or a GALBREATH in your tree from Mason, Bracken,
Robertson or Nicholas counties, we may have a connection. The
Robertson county connection is likely my great-grandfather,
Joseph Lafayette Galbraith, who also fathered eleven children
(those old boys were prodigious). His descendants include
Henry Clay Galbraith, Milton A. Galbraith (my father) and
Milton A. "Al" Galbraith, Jr. (me).
