Jon Hagee's Family History/Genealogy

Some of my ancestors were well known. General Simon Kenton was a Kentucky Frontiersman and even saved Daniel Boone's life. Stephen Hopkins and his daughter Constance Hopkins Snow arrived on the Mayflower. A member of the Hooper family signed the Declaration of Independence. The Paine family was was an instrumental influence in precipitating the Revolutionary War. Lesser known were the Conway family who was captured by the British and Indians during the Revolutionary War from Ruddles Station in Kentucky. A cousin Lewis Collins wrote the "History of Kentucky".

shelter. Bring a covered dish, or food of your choice.

KENTON Family Reunion


KENTON FAMILY REUNION -Descendents of Irish KENTON immigrants
of which the Frontiersman SIMON KENTON was a member.
This appears to include many of the Kenton/Kinton's in Virginia and
Pennsylvania in the mid 1700's. Also, most Kentons who pioneered early
Kentucky and Ohio. The reunion is in association with the
Simon Kenton Festival held Sept. 18-19, 1999 in
Old Washington near Maysville, Mason County, KY.
The Festival will feature Pioneer encampments and craft demonstrations,
historic buildings, genealogy research, Kentucky flintlocks
and more.
